India is one of the largest producers and consumers of peanuts in the world. The commonly produced varieties are Java and Bold peanuts.
Java Type peanuts are roundish and mostly available in medium and small sizes. Standard sizes traded in counts per US ounce are 50/60, 60/70, 70/80, 80/90 and 90/100.
The Bold peanuts are the bigger sized variety and are longish in shape. These peanuts can easily be distinguished from Java Peanuts by their size and shape. Standard sizes traded in counts per US ounce are 38/42, 40/45, 45/55, 55/60, 70/80 and 80/90.
