    India is the world's largest producer, consumer and exporter of red chillies. Red chilli is chiefly grown in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Orissa, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu.

    Some of the commercially important chilli varieties produced in India includes Byadgi, 273 wrinkled, Guntur Sanman 334, Mundu and Teja.

    Indian Dry Red Chilli known for its taste and colour is preferred by spice powder makers and food processors globally.
